Noel has won the North West Words Poetry Prize. His friend, the photographer David Gepp attended the awards ceremony in Donegal to read the winning poem Damaged Tins, and accept the prize on his behalf.
In the same week, Noel was also shortlisted for the WoLF Poetry Prize at the Wolverhampton Literature Festival. His work will be included in anthologies published by both festivals.
